Full Biography
I currently serve as a research scientist at Bytedance Seed,Singapore. Before joining Bytedance, I obtained my PhD degree from the school of computer science and engineering in Nanyang Technological University (NTU), Singapore. In NTU, I am supervised by Prof. Yew-Soon Ong (FIEEE). Currently, my research interest is mainly on enhancing the alignment of large language models (LLMs), with a particular focus on cross-modal alignment using reinforcement learning. My work encompasses Reinforcement Learning from Human Feedback (RLHF) for multimodal LLMs, as well as exploring the vulnerabilities and safety challenges within current LLM systems. Additionally, I am passionate about developing innovative applications for LLM-based agents. During 2023, I joined Shanda Group shortly to work on LLM startup, inspired by Mr Chen Tianqiao’s ambition.
